Norway-based Elopak is seeking a buyer for its Russian packaging plant, according to Reuters. The news came after the carton packaging and filling equipment supplier suspended its operations in Russia in early March due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

Pal Packaging and INEOS Styrolution to develop food packaging

Greece-based food packaging manufacturer Pal Packaging has partnered with styrenics supplier INEOS Styrolution to develop styrenics-based sustainable packaging for the food industry. As part of the partnership, Pal will integrate INEOS’s ‘Styrolution PS ECO’ into its new packaging.

Business optimism improves in April - Poll

Business optimism increased in April compared to the previous month, according to an ongoing poll by Verdict, as COVID-19 travel restrictions eased and demand in various sectors recovered. Analysis of the poll responses recorded in March shows that optimism regarding future growth prospects increased to 57% in April from 55%.
