Deposit Return Scheme could bring UK charities £1bn windfall

A new survey by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) found that, of the 2,000 people surveyed, 20% would donate the deposits they'd paid on drinks cans and bottles to charity all of the time if using a UK-wide deposit return scheme. Along with further respondents that would donate less frequently, the analysis by CPRE found that the donations could bring in more than £1bn to UK charities.
