CARBIOS secures commercial deals for biorecycled PET
CARBIOS has signed two multiyear offtake contracts with beauty industry giants L’Oréal and L’Occitane en Provence for the sale of ‘biorecycled’ polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) from its future commercial plant in Longlaville, France. This move reflects the rising demand for sustainable packaging and the promise of enzymatic recycling to help global brands meet circularity and quality goals.
Refresco acquires Telemark Kildevann to boost Nordic reach
Refresco, a global beverage solutions provider, has signed an agreement to acquire Telemark Kildevann Holding (TKV), a Norwegian beverage manufacturer. This strategic move is pending regulatory approval and is expected to enhance Refresco’s operational capabilities in the Nordics. TKV, a family-owned business, specialises in the production of soft drinks and bottled water.
DS Smith teams up with Hitachi to upgrade integration platform
DS Smith, a packaging solutions provider, has formed a strategic partnership with Hitachi Digital Services, a digital consultancy and technology services provider, to modernise its integration platform and speed up digital innovation. Hitachi Digital Services will design and develop DS Smith’s AI and system integrations by utilising technologies to drive innovation in complex manufacturing and packaging environments.
Ahlstrom acquires stevens point facility
Fibre-based speciality materials provider Ahlstrom has concluded the acquisition of the Stevens Point facility in Wisconsin, US. The Stevens Point facility offers advanced solutions for food and consumer packaging, as well as e-commerce applications. In April, Ahlstrom signed a binding agreement with Pixelle Specialty Solutions to acquire the plant.
