Eastman to develop sustainable packaging for Amorepacific

South Korean personal care group Amorepacific selected US-based speciality material provider Eastman to design sustainable packaging solutions for its products. Eastman will use its molecular recycling technologies to develop packaging for Amorepacific to meet its sustainability goals.

Mondi opens packaging testing laboratory in Czech Republic

Mondi was also lively in Czech this month, commencing operations at a laboratory in the south-western city of České Budějovice. The packaging multinational’s new facility will offer a range of transport performance tests, including ISTA 6 certification testing for packaging.

Flint Group launches chlorine-free heat-sealable coatings range in Europe

In November, Flint Group unveiled NexisCode, the company’s brand of sealable coatings designed to apply across paper, film and aluminium applications. The solvent-based coatings work with soft or hard aluminium, polyolefin and PET films as well as repulpable paper packaging.

Coveris completes modernisation project at UK label facility

A two-year, GBP3m (US$4m) project by Coveris at one of its UK sites drew to a close last month. The undertaking, at the Austrian company’s label facility in Northumberland, brought in new technologies and additional recycling infrastructure.

Stora Enso launches sub-10% PET packaging for ready meals

Stora Enso unveiled Trayforma PET34, which includes under 10% PET plastic content and can withstand temperatures of up to 220°C.
